Beaches On Mayaguana

Beaches On Mayaguana

Mayaguana has some of the most picturesque beaches in The Bahamas, with unbelievable aquamarine water. Northwest Point Beach has honeycomb-like rocks that act like stepping stones to the water. It offers great shelling and snorkeling, nature trails, picnicking in the sandy cove, and bonefishing in the nearby flats. Beaches in the south are good for sunning, shelling or throwing a line out to fish. Those in the three settlements are equally as nice and each has its own attributes: Betsy Bay Beach has a large, wide sandy expanse, with lots of shells; Horse Pond Bay Beach in Abraham’s Bay is known for the land crabs that walk at night; and at Pirate’s Well Beach you can see locals soaking up the salt and sun in the mornings and evenings.
