Referred to as the World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration, the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture Show, taking place July 21-29, 2019 in Wisconsin, Oshkosh, is the largest show of it's kind in the world. Air Shows are conducted daily and each year, the show attracts in excess of 11,000 airplanes, 500,000 private pilots, aviation enthusiasts and media and industry professionals from around the world.
The Islands of The Bahamas have been participating in this show for more than ten years, and this year, will have its team of aviation professionals including representatives from the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation, Royal Bahamas Police Force, Bahamas Department of Customs and Bahamas Civil Aviation on hand at Hangar D, to answer all your questions.
The Bahamas, one of three nations, including the United States of America and Canada, are members of the prestigious International Federal Partnership (IFP) body, that works closely together to make it easier for travelers coming in and out of its borders. The IFP, comprise some 17 Federal Government agencies for the said nations, and are all housed in the IFP Pavilion, located at Hangar D. This partnership has proven valuable for us and has played a pivotal role in making it easier for the thousands of general aviation pilots who fly the friendly skies, of our 700 islands chain, which has resulted in The Bahamas being known as the leader in the Caribbean and the eastern seaboard.
