The miles of beautiful, secluded beaches around Acklins, Crooked Island, and Long Cay offer a "Robinson Crusoe” experience, where you can be alone, undiscovered, and undisturbed--great therapy for the mind and body. The crystal-clear water here is perfect for swimming and snorkeling; you'll find numerous sea shells, driftwood, and other treasures from the sea while beachcombing; or you might choose to simply relax on a wide expanse of sand and do nothing at all. There are great spots in all areas of Crooked Island; the best ones on Acklins are on the eastern side, facing the Atlantic Ocean; and the entire north coast of Long Cay has good secluded stretches.
